PREAMBLE TO THE CONSTITUTION OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN
WE THE PEOPLE OF the state of Michigan, grateful to almighty god for the blessings of freedom and earnestly desiring to secure these blessings undiminished to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this constitution.
Preamble to the Constitution of Michigan of 1963
The Sovereign State of Michigan is a Constitutional Republic, as is the United States of America. There are 50 sovereign states that come together to decide on the delineated issues that effect all of us.
Because we are a Republic (not a Democracy) we elect a neighbor from our district to represent us in administering the government we have established. We have allowed a professional ruling class and ruling families to rise up and rule our country with a top-down dictatorial power.
I am your neighbor, a resident of Cannon Township. I am a retired Rockford School Bus driver, a retired pastor, and a retired police officer. I am not a politician. But we have come to the point that President Reagan spoke about when he said; “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.” I say, “not on our watch.”
America was formed to function with a citizen legislature, people who stand up and take their turn to serve. Together, we can save our state and then our nation. We can give our children and grandchildren a state and nation that they can love and build their future in.
